TRANSITIONING VLN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

As you may know, effective January 1, 2025, the National League for Nursing introduced the Alliance Leagues for Nursing, transitioning away from the previous Constituent League model. This new structure grants state leagues like VLN greater autonomy to tailor programming and decision-making to the needs of our local nursing communities.

While we now operate independently, VLN remains deeply committed to the mission we share with the NLN: to promote excellence in nursing education and to build a strong, diverse, and future-oriented workforce. This transition is not a parting of ways, but a powerful recommitment to local leadership, innovation, and collaboration.

As the VLN transitions into this new Alliance structure, we are exploring options to further enhance collaboration and professional development opportunities, including the following three options:

1) VLN Alliance
2) Mideast Alliance at the West Virginia League for Nursing
3) Join the Virginia Nurses Association

Details about each option and voting access has been sent to your email.
Voting will be open until June 30th.
